Ending sexual violence requires more than improving individual service responses after harm has occurred.

This submission identifies several priority areas where the Strategy could more clearly reflect the realities of trauma-related mental health need and improve continuity of care.

Safeguarding systems should support timely and safe information sharing, early intervention, and protective action where concerns arise regarding harm to children or vulnerable people.

We believe that conformity is not the same as nation leading practice, and these are missed opportunities for Tasmania to set a gold standard in legislation that keeps our communities safe.

This submission builds on earlier feedback relating to mandatory notification reforms.
